Third-party declarant

A third-party declarant is a Dutch or foreign company that sends the statistical reports to the CBS on your behalf. This may be an administrative or shipping agent. (However, in most cases, the information responsible (declarants, PSIs) submits the reports himself and this is not applicable).

An information provider, or the CBS, can authorise another IDEP user to act as third-party declarant on his behalf. This action can be carried out in the Authorise third-party declarant (additional providers) screen (go to).
This authorisation also determines for which flows the third-party declarant can declare for the information responsible.

A user can be third-party declarant for several PSIs (information responsibles). To make declarations for one of his PSIs, the third-party declarant should make this PSI the 'current' (or active) PSI (it is not possible to make declarations for several PSIs in the same context). On the other hand, as a third-party declarant, it is possible to import records for several PSIs from one and the same file.
The change active PSI (go to) screen allows the third-party declarant to select another active PSI.
